I've made a few for friends and relatives. I am making my first hidden tang now for my daughter for her first deer hunting trip this fall.

The Exo850 was the most time consuming. It started life as a 1.25" round bar of A2. I am a stock removal guy, not a forger, so I cut away everything that didn't belong. Instead of the tang being in line with the blade, I ran it as kind of a spine over the back of the handle and the pins run through the spine and the handle material. I will make 1 more, for my dad. It was a major pain.
The on the top right is pretty damn cool.  8)

My mid 70's Randall model 19 and a custom handle knife from a hermit who lived on Panther Creek near Shoup ID. He hunted sheds and winter kill and purchased blades from England and hand cut fhe handle. No power tools used. He was a hermit. His name was Leon Nichols.  He moved to Davenport WA where he lived his final days.

Please ignore how dirty they are.  This was after several uses with just wipe downs
