Leupold Mark 5 5-25x56
« on: June 02, 2018, 10:48:01 PM »
I purchased this scope to mount on my 30-378 called Leupold about mounting options and 1 guy suggested picatinny 20moa rail with super high rings, another suggested high rings, when I did a test fit with the high rings I have a full 5/16" clearance at the objective lens, I haven't been able to locate a set of mediums (calling them Monday to see if they even make them) does anyone else make 35mm rings

I looked on Midway but I never checked the Weaver rings, I guess I just figured it being a newer scope that nobody else would be producing that diameter

Completely different scopes. Mark5 is only available in mil/mil and front focal plane. Has 10.5 mil per revolution of the elevation turret and a 3 turn zerolock turret. 35mm tube

I’m not sure on the mil mark4 (mine is moa) but it is a 30 mm tube and has 15 moa per revolution of elevation turret and they aren’t all ffp. Also no zerostop or zerolock.

Just completely different scopes with different features.

American rifle rings come in 35mm

They are very high quality and extremely durable.

I wasn't meaning difference in scope the price difference between what smdave suggested and the Mark 4s that I bought there is about a $60 price difference

Vortex and seekins both make 35mm rings. I ran the vortex rings with may razor hd gen1 which was 35mm tube.

I don’t think Seekins makes a 35. They only show 1”, 30mm and 34mm on their website. I really like my 30mm rings from them though.
