Found out the the NWTF works with the FFA on national scholarships. There was 250 entrants across the nation entered by the students councilors. My regional director and I had the please awarding the $5000.00 scholarship to a deserving young man from Cedarcrest High School. Remember parents there are a lot of good scholarships out there for you kids if they plan on going to college. The local NWTF chapters award a $500.00 scholarship and then the state chapter chooses a winner for another $500.00 and then that student has the chance to get the national scholarship that is $10,000.00.
I also had the pleasure of watching another student get awarded a full scholarship to the Naval Academy. Quite an accomplishment for that young man.
