Right now I'm trying to come up with a new load for my 30-378, have been using 180 grain Barnes and they've worked well for me, doing some upgrades to the gun and it was recommended by the gunsmith to use heavier bullets, I tried early on but didn't give it much effort since the 180's we're working, so for now I'm just going to buy a few different powders couple of different bullets, he suggested Remington 9½ primers which I'll try but I have 1000  Federal 215 primers

The Barnes generally like a big jump and work well in the Bees.  230 Berger would be nice if you could get it to shoot.  The brand new 230 SMK's mite be good but require 1:8 twist.

I recently found that Midway runs good sales on bullets (I’ve been buying Hornady lately) so I would get on their email list and watch their sales.

245$ for 8 lbs of H1000.  Same price as buying it from store and you don’t need have to be there to sign for it.

It's not just price though. When you have a favored powder you want that powder and if stores are out(like they are most times)You end up looking at these other options.

Brownell's huh>I will look into them. Thanks
