I like the caliber but you have to hand load at a minimum and even brass is tough to find. The 7 SAUM is easier with the same performance. As for the Browning, I owned a Ti model in 7wsm and could NOT get it to shoot.
In my opinion the 7mm WSM is a great cartridge, pretty much right between the 280 Rem. and the 7mm Rem. Mag. So recoil shouldn't be too harsh, although the Browning A bolt is a light rifle so I'd probably stick to lighter bullets with that combination. I have a Browning A bolt in 270 Win. that I bought new in 1997, and I’ve never had a more accurate rifle, before or since then. I’ve done nothing to it other than replace the trigger spring to reduce it to a 3 pound trigger. Not sure about the asking price. I know I paid just over $500 including tax for mine in 1997.
