Now that the number of tags have been cut for that area, it might actually be a fun hunt.  My dad had it a few years back when half the state was on fire and closed areas and there was 140 tags plus OTC cow hunters it was a zoo.  I think now that its lowered it can actually be a quality hunt.  Opening day get out in to the deepest darkest timber and they will still be moving.  Once opening day passes they split up in to smaller groups and hide.

Great hunt, had a blast on my hunt 6 years ago.
Lots of elk around all season, just gotta get after them.....
