It seems as there are a lot of good people on here willing to help out. I am going to go over and get familiar with the country. I will keep in touch and good luck to you.

OIL tags bring out the best in people.  You won't be hunting "their" quarry so why not help out if you have knowledge?  :hello:

now ELK tags... that's a WHOLE 'nother story!  :yike: :bdid: :chuckle:

Best of luck on your moose hunt!!!  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

I guarantee anyone who draws a Naches, Colockum, White River or Blues tag will get lots of help from members on this forum.

This is my favorite part of Hunt-Wa year after year.  People are excited for the draw, and the excited to help the people who actually drew.

I have a cabin and some property on the east side of the river north of Usk and spend alot of time there.  We'll keep an eye out.  I have to admit we saw alot more moose a few years ago (pre-wolf) but they're still there.  Give me a shout if your heading that way to scout this summer.  I have a couple of trail cams out soaking.  Ron

Sadly this is so true.  The moose are astonishingly reduced in the past ten years.

Well went up this last holiday weekend to do a bit of scouting in the 113 for the upcoming Bull Moose hunt with some friends.  The unit in the southern part looks pretty tuff with lots of steep terrain and deep canyons so we moved towards the middle upper part of the unit and started seeing the animals that we were focused on.  I had to head home on Sunday but my buddies stayed up there for three more days and continued scouting over all we seen countless whitetails with a few buck, 8 cow moose and a few bulls in the 30 to 35" range and a couple small bears.  I know theres a few guys on here that drew the tags if you want locations and such for the early season hunt shoot me a pm.  I will not be hunting till November 2 so much will change before I head to the woods.  Good luck folks.  Be safe.

Good luck.  Looking forward to seeing what you turn up.  Take lots of pics!
