You'll get plenty of help, if you ask, and the biologist out of Yakima is very helpful, but I had the same tag in 2014 and if you have any questions for me I'd be happy to help. Just send me a PM.
:yeah:

I've chatted with Jeff, the bio, a couple times and he's good people.  Very dedicated and helpful.  I won't have a ton of time this fall (getting a business off the ground this year) but I live next to Clemens, so PM me if you have questions or need local knowledge.  If the stars align and my schedule is actually free, I'd be more than happy to carry stuff up and down the mountain, or assist with scouting.

and CONGRATS on the tag!!!!!  Cheers to good health and a fun fall :)

Congratulations on an awesome experience! I talked with Jeff this morning and you’ll have a great time. Enjoy every part of the hunt as these tags are few and far between. Give me a call if you’d like as I’m more than happy to help in any way possible. Bryan 360 584-2752

I drew the Clemens-C Ewe tag for this year. I had drawn the ram tag in 2012. Looking forward to some excellent sheep meat for the freezer. Happy to give you my guidance, if needed. I did a lot of scouting, saw as many as 50 rams on Labor day weekend in 2012. Very tough to decide which ram to take.

Coonhound congrats! I drew the Clemans ewe tag! I’ll be over there scouting and obviously hunting, I’d be happy to help you if you need it.

Congrats maybe I'll bump into you there. I'll let you shoot the first one as I'm holding out for a record book ewe. :chuckle:

3 of the ewe tags went to members, not bad at all.

Coongrats Coonhound!

Add me to the list of guys willing to help.  I had the tag in 2014 and would be more than willing to talk or even help pack for you.  The most important thing I'd say is don't shoot the first ram unless you're really sure he's the one or you're limited in time off  You've got plenty of season and you'll see plenty of sheep every day.

Thanks everyone, I appretiate the encouragement and offers for help.  My Son and my Hunting partner will come along so I should have plenty of help.  I will probably make a few calls just to get my bearings but the scouting will be just as important to me as the actual hunt.  I'll be getting up there several times over the next couple months, hopefully i'll get my legs and balance back under me during these trips.  My biggest worry is effectively field judging the calibler of critter.  I really want to bring home a solid mature ram, it doesn't need to be the biggest on the mountain but I don't want to have any regrets with a OIL chance.
