Congrats! What weapon is it for? Friend of mine drew the rifle quality permit for that unit and I’m lucky enough to be on the “team”. I’m just as excited as if it was my own tag except a little less pressure  :P

I'll be hunting that unit and have cameras out. (Spikes) lf I come across a decent bull on the cameras or while scouting I'll hook you up..

Might want to see if they fixed South fork Tiatin  (sp?). It’s been closed for a while. Opens up a lot of good hunting ground if it’s open.

Should be a good season!   I would try and get it done before the cow hunters come in. With it being the first year of having cows limited to the last few days it should ease the pressure on bulls!

Think step and deep for bigger mature heard bulls. Get away from the roads and into the wilderness for some real nice bulls.Congrats on your tag !

Yeah, 4x4 trails that offer better access to areas most other dont go....

The 4x4ers go through the area, they are not stopping, you may get a few hunting but they are very few......

If you're hunting by the 4x4 trails you are not up on the ridge high enough, trust me.

I drew a rifle any bull tag this year and don’t know the quality of this area very well. I was wondering if I should be happy with the first bull elk I see or if I should hold out for a big one. Any suggestions?

hi everyone I drew the rimrock quality archery hunt this year as well. keeping a eye on the fire near whitepass with that and the 1000 rd back shutdown at the gate due to road repairs access will be limited

I want hunt Rimrock someday.  I should buy a app someday and get a point or 2 I guess.  Get a quad and go as deep as you can.  Hike up, spike camp it and climb.  That's my game plan I will never use!  Sweet bulls guys!  Love that area.

Your hunt is in the hands of the fire now! Unfortunately the area the fire is in has lots of fuel. Hopefully it can be contained

yeah it's not a good situation for anyone hopefully they can get it contained before it gets to bad and from the sounds of it the 1000 rd will be closed into the middle of spetember so its looking like a bad year for the rimrock archery bull tag holders hopefully the wdfw will give us the option to get points back if it gets to bad in there
