Osullivan reservoir ( mar-don area ) is 1 1/2 hrs with access to all the seep lakes or mar-don docks if no boat. There is the state park as well. Tucanon is a bit over 2 hrs with all the little lakes for trout.  I have never stayed there but my uncle likes Windust Park on the Snake. Supposedly free. Look it up on the net. 30 miles from pasco, you could take a drive up and look around in an evening. Swimming etc ? Are you looking for remote ?

That is a fun one.  We use to camp next to Warden Lake in the potholes and caught many a trout.  I don't know if you can still camp next to the lakes, but I will be looking into that, because I want to take my boys.

Look also at the Little Naches/Naches River area.  FR19 off of 410, IIRC.  Somebody will correct, if wrong.  Tons of unimproved camping.

Potholes State Park is a great spot.  Very spacious spots and lots of room for kids and pets.

👍🏻Grew up going up there every summer for a week. Never have stayed anywhere  except Mardon  resort. We plan on making that a yearly thing. I do need to drive up there to find a place to camp on water.
Snake is a cool place, love that river. Cause we live close, we spend a ton of time on snake so I thought something different would be good. Windust is free

Well, we got to Williams lake, stayed a night at Klinks resort. Lake is cool but Didn't care for resort,so we went to Fishtrap. Sitting here in the lake with a pole out now.

I spent allot of time on Fishtrap as a kid, there are many fond memories of that place.  I hope the fishing is as good as i remember.
