When I was living in Spokane Valley, I spent easily 3/4  of my fishing time across the border - I was on the water 2-3 times a week minimum from April through hunting season. That is one of the main reasons I want to move back.

I was at lake Coeur d'Alene a few weeks ago.

We rented a pontoon boat and caught a lot of Bass and Pike using crankbaits, it was easy fishing.

Two lakes that need to be on your radar for big trout:

Lake Pend Oreille
Priest Lake

Are you fishing from a boat?

14 foot Sotar Cataraft, it's an oar rig.

Thanks everyone!!!!!
CDA is a great lake with lots of options.  Landlocked Chinook, kokanee, pike, and bass are all great options.  Hayden has pretty good fishing for Pike, bass, and kokanee also.  I'm a big fan of CDA though and so far this year haven't fished another body of water in Wa or Idaho other than CDA. :twocents:

Forgot about CDA, you can fish for almost any species on CDA, and catch fish regularly.

:yeah:
I typically use the same launch.  It's a nice midway point on the lake and it's pretty close for us Washington guys.  I had an issue finding parking last time but that's because there was a bass tourney on the lake that weekend.  I need to find another launch for days like that though.
