Bowhunterforever's huckleberry bull moose early hunt
« on: June 27, 2018, 08:06:38 PM »
Well I finally drew a huckleberry moose tag and I am still in shock I drew. I figured I would start a official scouting and hunt trend. Lots of scouting and planning ahead that's for sure. Gonna be a long next few months lol If anybody has any information on the unit, moose pics from bulls from the unit or moose hunting tips in general it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'll have the bow along and the rifle. It would be awesome with the bow but doesn't matter either way i'll be happy.

Ok. I didn't know if it was a special type of area.  buddy of mine sent me a picture of a cow moose on his property in Rice last week.
Lots of public land around Rice.

Well I have been scouting quite a few times since being notified I drew. Saw one bull in the end of July that was a definite shooter but haven't seen him since. Other then that haven't seen much for bulls yet. Quite a few cows and got one solid bull on trail cam. Hopefully when the rut picks up the bulls will get to moving around more. Anybody who knows much about moose have thoughts on this bull like how wide and any other thoughts? Thanks
