15 Years After your Lake was Poisoned

Now that your lake has had time to recuperate, (coming up on 15 years now) have you taken any "Lunkers" out of the lake since it was poisoned? Or was it a bad idea?  :bdid:  :dunno:

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife   FISHING RULE CHANGE

September 9, 2003



Bag limits waived on lakes and streams scheduled for rehabilitation

Action: Open currently closed waters, extend season on currently open waters, and remove daily bag limit for game fish on lakes and /or streams scheduled for rehabilitation.

Effective date: Effective immediately

Location: Blue Lake, Dusty Lake, Fishtrap Lake, Hog Canyon Lake, Hog Canyon Creek, Magpie Lake and Williams Lake.

Reason for action: These lakes / streams are scheduled for rehabilitation with Rotenone in October, and there is insufficient time to promulgate permanent rules.

Other Information: Blue Lake (Sinlahekin Creek, Okanogan County) - Effective immediately through October 12, 2003, open to fishing for game fish. Daily limit for game fish - none. Selective gear rules do not apply. Effective October 13 through October 31, 2003, closed to fishing.

Dusty Lake (Grant County) - Effective immediately through October 12, 2003, open to fishing for game fish. Daily limit for game fish - none.

Fishtrap Lake (Lincoln / Spokane County) - Effective immediately through October 5, 2003, open to fishing for game fish. Daily limit for game fish - none.

Hog Canyon Lake (Spokane County) - Effective immediately through October 5, 2003, open to fishing for game fish. Daily limit for game fish - none.

Hog Canyon Creek from the outlet dam at Hog Canyon Lake to the inlet of Fishtrap Lake (Spokane County) Effective immediately through October 5, 2003, daily limit for game fish - none. Effective 12:01 a.m. October 6, 2003 through October 31, 2003, Closed to fishing.

Magpie Lake (Grant County) - Effective immediately through October 12, 2003, daily limit for game fish - none. Effective October 13 through December 31, 2003, closed to fishing.

Williams Lake (Spokane County) Effective immediately through October 5, 2003, open to fishing for game fish. Daily limit for game fish - none.

I don't follow all the lake rehabs, but i'd bet most on that list have had it done multiple times since '03 :dunno:
