Arizona draw
« on: June 29, 2018, 11:52:03 AM »
Arizona is hitting credit cards today for the deer/sheep draw.  Either there is some sort of glitch going on, or my group (including a few residents) has hit the lottery with two sheep tags and multiple primo deer tags.  I have a deer tag hit myself.  Not sure what to think, could be a long weekend waiting for actual results!

Me too!  Might need to move around some hunting plans, but that's a good problem to have. Never been on a sheep hunt, would love to tag along for one of these!

Did you find out what you drew for?  I think they draw Sheep 1st then do deer?  About the only thing I can think of for how wide a spread in dates of cards being charged?  Good luck!

Yeah tough part is knowing which hunt we drew so I can get my Vaca on the calendar before someone else does!  Depending on what we drew it could be Mulies in Late Oct/Early Nov, to Coues in late Dec.

My cousin's card got hit for sheep and deer at the same time last Friday.  I checked right after that and saw my deer charge.  Who knows, just wish they'd hurry up and post results already!   :chuckle:

I'm in the same boat, either an early Kaibab tag in late Oct/early Nov, or a late December coues tag.

Results are posted.  Early Kaibab (12AW) for me.

My cousin and other buddy down there have sheep tags.  Cousin's wife drew late Kaibab 12AW - she's never hunted, this is going to be interesting....

WOW, is that a good hunt?  Seems like your whole crew is dialed in for there this year.
I drew 34A early Nov for Coues.
I was down there in late Nov in 2015 and we saw two spikes on 1st day, I passed, Stepdad dropped one.  The second spike stood there looking at his buddy until we were 1/2 to him.  Wishing I had dropped the hammer that 1st day!  No mercy this year!

Drew Unit 29 Coues for the early November hunt.
Lived there for 33 years and never hunted big game. Move to 1300 miles away and start putting in for tags....

I lived there many years as well and did not get into hunting until I moved up here.  I hunted Turkey once when I lived there.
Thinking I need to start researching more, I still have family down there and places to stay.
