If this was a privately owned and cared for animal then I REALLY don't see the issue. I don't really have any issue with their model of reserve hunting so I don't want it to come across as if I do but they are essentially controlled livestock who have a really really big pasture. I don't see the difference between saying the taking of this giraffe is bad and saying a cattle rancher killing a cow is bad.

Well, let's see. The community got an influx of money, They got a ton of needed meat, an animal past it's prime and ability to contribute to the herd was culled and did not die wasting away in the desert of old age. What was the problem again ?

And probably privately owned to boot.

The problem is someone whose knowledge of Africa comes soley from the Lion King got their feelings hurt that Simba can't go out and sing and dance with his buddy anymore.
