Lots of overbore quarter bores out there. Wish these came out several months ago when I was rebarreling a .25-06Tough to find twist rates faster than 1:10” but these should help change that
Would be super interested in a .25-06AI to mess with these. Regular -06 would do well but not get a little extra zip?
Maybe I missed it. What’s the boondoggle parent case?

What’s the boondoggle parent case?In keeping with my mission statement of using readily available brass and dies, the 257 BS is basically a 6.5 PRC necked down to 257. I formed that case from piece of 375 Ruger basic brass that I cut down, sized in a 338 RCM die, then a 300 RCM die, necked down to 270 with a 270 WSM die, then ran it into a 6.5 PRC bushing die that I just picked up on clearance for $28 from Midway with a .296 bushing first then followed up with a .289 bushing. It could also be made from cut down 8x68s brass.I haven't decided if I want to use the 6.5 PRC case or use the 300 RCM case though. The 300 RCM would give a longer neck while the 6.5 PRC just makes the whole thing easier.
