Savage MSR

I know about nothing when it comes to AR platform rifles. I was just wondering if savages MSR will accept uppers from other manufacturers?

Thanks

From the looks of them they are all milspec Ar's for the most part. should fit any upper just fine. But why buy the MSR full rifle to just swap the upper? why not just buy a lower?

I have an MRS and my buddy is trying to talk me into getting a 6.5 Grendel upper.

Got cha. not super familiar with what it takes to do 6.5 swap. The upper and lower will fit (as in the pins will lock in) but you may need to swap a couple things internally like the buffer and your mag followers to make it function properly but besides that you should be good (of course do research and verify). this is one reason the 300 Black Out got some of its popularity, its literally JUST the barrel, everything else is same same.

Good luck man!
