Great pics,it looks like there's been salt blocks there before .Ive found that the blocks keep the animals in in the spring, but after that they seem to not need or want it as much. What do you see.

Elk will hit salt all summer and into fall

I've found that they know what day early archery opens and the day before that is the last day they are interested in it.

I will follow this up with my experiences with the salt. As soon as they go hard horned, they lose interest. Seems that maybe they crave the minerals while the antlers are growing, then lose interest once they stop growing.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Exactly that,,  I also think the cows are all over until about the same time. which is probably close to when they quit nursing or so....

Interesting.  I've observed that with deer for sure, right around August 29th is the last time I've seen bucks messing with salt.  Few years into the 30th and Sept 1st but they've usually shedded between 26th-29th
