Christini AWD motorcycle - anyone drive one?

I'm familiar with Rokons, but am curious about the Christini's.  Anyone have any experience with them?  I keep thinking one of those,  lowered,  with a rekluse clutch,  would bethree ultimate hunting motorcycle.

nope, rode a ton of motorcycles and anytime I had a hill or obstacle there wasn't any weight on the front anyhow.  It's an expensive chunk of weight prone to failure.

Depends on where you hunt.  If legal to ride yes.  Me and several others I know just use them for getting from camp to the area we are going to hunt.

The engineering in these things are cool. From their website, the military is using them also. I saw on a Youtube video they make AWD bicycles also.

Asking about experiences with the Christini.  I can ride my ktm 300exc, trials bikes, and CR's with the best of them, but know of their limitations.   2wd adds in places where you can't get speed or traction.   The rokon flat out works but is rough on the body.

dual sport model would be my choice.  Might have to trade in the honda fat cats.

What seems to break on the Christini?

The last trip we took two.
5 days of training. Ridden very rough, at higher speeds, and over tougher terrain.
One lost the bolts to the front wheel drive shaft. The second blew a clutch..
We’re taking them to the dunes in a few weeks. I’ll report back on how they performed.

Note, these are not privately owned, and my guys don’t pay for fixes, nor make repairs themselves.  They are ridden in a “pack mentality” of strong “a-type” personalities. I say all that to say we are not proffesional riders, and view all all terrain Vic’s as a way to work. So if it has a week point or can be broken... We tend to find it even though it’s unintentional.

Talked with the mech. Some examples are....

The motor is an off brand. Like Kohl or something of the sort. It is supposed to be interchangeable with all honda parts. Our mech says only about 50% fit, forcing him to purchase through Mr. Christini direct. He sends us pot metal garbage.
For instance, the throttle body he showed me is insanely cheap in quality, and the valve makes contact when closing, in effect keeping the valve open about 3-5%.

The fuel injection is poorly built. So bad the mech says he'd take a carb any day over theirs.

The ecm blows out almost every trip.

He did say he thinks this bike is gonna be amazing in 10-20 years. He's just not a fan right now.

He also said the version we have is different than the civilian sector

I would easily bet he’s talking about christinis. Rokons are gutless wonders but are bulletproof

Everything I’m talking about is the Christini
The motor is actually a “gas gas”. A European Honda.
So we have 5 out in the dunes right now.
We’re down to only 2 after one day.

Have changed all the ecm’s on them.
One overheated, with none of the obvious contributors.
I layed one down pretty hard, but my knee snapped the head bolts for the handle bars. (May give a Pass on this one... and yes. It hurt. Bad. Lol)


I’ve seen an 80% hard failure rate on Chrisinis.

Bottom line I would pass.

The mech said christini makes an attachment to throw on any other bike that has been solid. I’d check that route. Over paying for a poor bike.
