Some of you guys have a freaking fortune in dies
that was my thoughts as well. Like looking at the table of contents in a loading manual
https://www.howlforwildlife.org/take_action  It takes 10 seconds and it’s free. To easy to make an excuse not to make your voice heard!!!!!!

God I am boring.  I just load 1 1/8 12ga Handicap loads with 7.5's.  What I lack in variety I make up in quantity....anywhere from 10-13k a year.

Most of you guys are giving me reloading envy!

I have only been reloading for a few years and dont have a lot of time for it unfortunately.

So far I've only reloaded for:
.308 Win
.30-40 Krag
.30-06

I have dies for .30-30 Win but I've not used them yet. Next will be either 10mm or .45 Colt.

Come on guys, where are all the fun calibers? :chuckle: I'll admit that the vast majority of these are rounds that I no longer load for but did at one time. I'm down to about 35 die sets right now.

If we're listing pistol/revolver rounds, I've got that pretty well covered too:

25 acp
32 acp
32 H&R
327 Federal
38 spcl
357 Mag
357 Auto Mag
357 Max
40 S&W
10mm
10mm Magnum
400 Corbon
41 AE
41 Mag
414 Super Mag
44 spcl
44 Auto Mag
44 Mag
445 Super Mag
45 Auto Rim
45 ACP
460 Rowland
45 Super
451 Detonics
45 Win Mag
45 Colt
454 Casull
460 S&W
480 Ruger
50 AE
500 JRH
500 S&W

As always, I'm pretty sure that it.

Haha! It’s all about the dies. I can’t even count the rifles I’ve had built wildcat wise because I stumbled across a set of dies or acquired the right combo of dies to load a particular wildcat. I’ve used three different sets of factory dies to load for a single wildcat and then I had to have a custom set made because no matter the combo, I couldn’t bump the shoulder.

I've had a couple barrels made just because I found a set of odd dies or brass for sale somewhere. Half of the wildcats I've come up with are ideas that I got by running cases into some random die that I have on the shelf. A couple of them are good ideas but most are one off boondoggles, which is where I got the name for the last few bad ideas I've been working on.

Yorkie

Yep! Not a lot of "gaps" between what is out there and has already been tried, done, and proven. But where's the fun with leaving it there?👍
Loonies will always try to improve, if only for a few fps.  Fun to experiment for sure, but true improvement is hard to find, even if it's only a few fps from a, say, 7-08 to 7x57..

I think of wildcatting like merging onto a freeway; even if there's not a good gap, just force your way in there and kick everybody else out of the way.  :chuckle:
