I dropped by a local gun shop on my way home from work Wednesday afternoon. Just to sniff around and see if there were any new trades on the shelves.

When several bows caught my eye, I asked about them. I was told they were made by a guy named Gerald. I had remembered seeing a few of his handmade bows 15-18 years back and they were nice. I asked what the deal was and he explained that they had been in storage and that a family member was selling them. I ended up with two.

The one picture bellow is a 62”  53# @ 28”. The other is still at the shop getting a couple new strings and a dozen arrows worked up for it. It’s more of a darker earth tone colored bow 62” 67# @ 28”.

Looking forward to shooting them.

Awesome-looking bows, Hammer.

Looked around a bit for a bow mounted quiver. Decided to pick up a Thunderhorn “BOA” 4 arrow quiver. So far I like it. Super clean, well made, very secure attachment.

Nice find.  A friend of mine hunts elk with a recurve of similar quality.  He loves it.  Bit of a traditionalist.  Just has to get closer.

Jealous.

Gerald Hickman and Critter Gitter. He used to make some great recurves. He made a target bow I shot at the Nationals that was a bad ass shooter

Dan Croft has all of his bow making tools and supplies but isn't building right now
