I'm with KFhunter on the bear jackelope posted, at first glance you think it might be a grizzly but the face, ears, and rear end look more like a blackie, I think it's a big black, but I would wait till he turned his head to see the outline to make sure he didn't have a dished forehead. Then BOOM!

This is exactly what I was thinking.

But I'm by no means a bear expert.

I've gotta go with grizzly on jacklope's pic.  Was this taken in NW Wyoming?

Edit:  had to come back and look at this after taking the Montana bear identification course....switching to black bear...big big sow.

Just to be clear, the 2nd bear I posted a pic of is not the same as the 1st one.

I was referring to the first you posted in the sage, the second cinamon bear is a blackie for sure. Bang

Except for the video of the bright colored griz.

And I'm not 100% sure on jackalope's second bear.  I feel very confident the first one is a black bear.  I should point out I don't have half the creds of some of the folks who seem to think it's a griz, but that doesn't change how I feel about it.

Jack's first bear is a black bear.

There is absolutely no grizzly face resemblance, whatsoever.
The color is also wrong.
