if i remember correctly, i think your weight can't be "attached" less than 12" from your hook. what's weird, is that using a jig is perfectly legal, as it's part of the lure.me, i'd just simplify things and use a short leader.

But is that considered a weight In this situation? Or part of a lure egg combo.If so I always here the term eggs are nutral boyant so would eggs fall under the non boyant part of the anti snag rule?
On a side note, throwing a gob of weightless eggs can be a very effective tactic. Learned it years ago and have almost never seen it used.Obviously the current and depth need to be appropriate, and you need to use a spinning rod with light enough line to cast. Also a big enough cluster of eggs. It can be money when other presentations are problematic.
