I suck at scoring. Its all good. LOL. I look at some pics of bucks and I just don't get where they got the score.
Here's another pic, but it kinda sucks also. 

I thought this post/pic was really interesting because in the big pic that buck looks really nice...........

But in your avatar the same buck looks way bigger.    At least to me.

 And that's to say previous posts are not honest, I just appreciate a guy that takes the time to get a legit score and not embellish it, or add in the widest spread.

I agree for sure! Getting it scored accurately is the only way to go. Very inexpensive to do as well. I take all my critters to David Morris in Portland to have him score them. I’m usually close but I leave it to the pros. Must have missed it but I didn’t see anyone adding outside spread

 No no, not here, but to achieve some of the scores I see posted every season, it seems the only way they achieve the scores claimed is by adding in that outside spread.

 Guaranteed some will read this tomorrow and have the conversation with themselves like "wait, outside spread doesn't count in the score"?

It's definitely not rocket science.  Get a good tape, cable, and score sheet.  READ the scoring instructions and follow the steps.  Lots of folks say who cares about score but I think it's fun to put a tape on em.  Big, small, typical, non typical.  They are all different and unique.  I can't hardly look at a deer without putting the eyecrometer to them.

I dont know that I’ll ever have anything officially scored but the number does put some perspective to the size. While both could be “big 4 points” there is a difference between a 150 inch buck and a 180.
