If you cant fish first light, fish the tide changes.  Some spots are better on either incoming or outgoing tides.  Just takes time to figure those out.

i know everyone says first light is best for the coho fishing..but i used up a lot of my vacation fishing kings and saving some for elk..
worth my time to head out after work or just suck it up and fish weekend first light?

90% of our bites come before 8 am, maybe even before 7:30.  Fish are caught later, it just really slows down.

Wow, the last 3 days at Sekiu are amazing.  They are headed in, the next few big tides should bring huge numbers.

Was out in 11 today. Saw one coho caught. Did have to release a nice 15-18lb king.

Evening bites can be good, particularly if you can stay til dark.  I got two one evening last week, and both came in the last 30 minutes before dark. Nothing in the two hours before that.

Hit 11 last Saturday morning with my brother. Ended up pulling two  around 9am within 10min of each other. Guess we found the school. Couldn't locate them again. Back at the dock, one boat of 3 said all of them limited. I've been in the fish the past two weeks, just can't say it's been hot. Would love to limit out one day soon.

Area 11 is tough sledding, but if you get on them it can be hot..  I gave up on it a few years ago but might give it another shot with rivers closed to silvers this year

Indeed, things are getting better here every day.  Creel survey says Everett ramp yesterday (9/4) had 56 coho for 28 anglers.  Literally can't get better than that!  Shilshole report from 9/2 was something like 1.2 fish per angler.
