Smoke and bears
« on: August 02, 2018, 09:55:39 PM »
Just wondering what everyone thinks about hunting a berry patch that is pretty smokey. Will the smoke push bears out of it, is it worth hunting?

Bears care very little about anything once they start grubbin on a good berry patch. Smoke is a non issue.

In Idaho I always wanted to set a bait close to a old burn, that way I could use the smoke smell to mask my smell. Had one bait close to one last year that got hit good

Definitely hunt it. The bears will die anyway from COPD.  :chuckle:
