"Sgt. Jason Schmittendorf, of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, told WFTS-TV, “Around 30,000 rounds of ammunition” were also stolen taken confiscated seized."
30K/450 is 67 rounds per gun owner. It doesn't sound to me like there are too many of these people planning some large scale event. I have a friend who keeps more than 10K rounds and replenishes each time he shoots. WTH? This won't stop any violence. The crazies will still get in under the radar. They'll make the laws stiffer, and it'll happen again and again. And the sheep will call for stricter controls each time.
