Yeah, I wish they would make the punishment a lot tougher on the people that break the rules and go into the feeding areas before they open.  Why not make it a loss of hunting privileges for 5 years and a larger fine. :bash:

I agree. I recommended that they raise the fine to $1,000. I like the idea of loosing hunting privileges. That would put a stop to it. Once again it is a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone else.

Now, to my understanding, you can not drive, but you can still walk or horse back for sheds?
(as in behind the gates, the land is open for foot trafic only untill the gate is open may 1st )

If this info is wrong, let me know, beacuse i got it from a worker (volunteer) at the Oak Creek feeding station.

Only in certain areas and Oak Creek is not one of them. Most of the roads in areas they aren't feeding are open to foot traffic but the areas where they feed the elk are closed to all human activities. Maybe the guy at Oak creek wanted some fun, and was hoping you would go out so they could get ya for it. Maybe that is why there is such a problem with people going into the feeding areas before the season opens! Wow you should report that guy to the head at Oak Creek.

You are wrong.  Its closed to ALL ACCESS as of March 1st.

Does that mean foot traffic is allowed before March 1st?

There is no access whatsoever in the Oak Creek area until May 1st.  I'm not exactly sure when they close it down, I'm guessing it is the beginning of January.  I have never heard that it was only closed between March 1st and May 1st.  I thought it was closed once they close the gate.

Bone is probably right though.
