2018 bear
« on: August 04, 2018, 01:34:16 PM »
Yesterday afternoon ended with a spur of the moment trip to get a bear! Walking through some sparse timber with creek below heard some brush moving so I snuck down to see a bear broadside at 15 yds. Pulled up and shot! The .300 made quick work and heard the bear death moaning within seconds down in the thick brush. Should have brought my bow! 15 yards through the thickest rose bushes imaginable and countless scratches there it laid! With the help of a good friend we had it skinned and quartered quick and loaded for the 3 mile hike back! Got back to the truck at 11:30pm and got home at 3am! What a great night!

Awesome! Any plans for the cape? A 3/4 mount would be sweet with the chest markings.

Good looking bear
