I think every three years or so.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Link to website. You can contact them and ask when they will be doing a fifth edition.

Seems like the whole thing is poorly ran and just a cash scam for the show circuit. You would think they would update the website monthly or quarterly or even annually for that matter since they only print a book ever few years or so. But they don't even respond to emails let alone update anything.  :twocents: :dunno:

I do a fine job measuring my bone myself. I don’t need anyone else checking my girth measurements.

Yeah poorly done is an understatement... I have the state record Non-typical whitetail deer shed. Just one side... But the book says I have two...

Yes, very poorly done!  I submitted and payed or 7 entries, only 2 made it in the book.  All were in high up in there classes.  It almost took an act of congress to get my money back for the 5 that weren't entered.  I had them score my bull and refused to enter it in their book.  The book is full of mule deer being passed off as blacktails, poached and out of state critters etc.  You folks can have that pile of garbage.

Shouldn't it be 16 to fall in line with the state.  I've been pondering on entering my daughters bull.  But I'm not really intrested if it's not on the up and up.

Is this record book affiliated with anyone except o'laughlin trade shows? Sci? Or Boone and Crockett? Or Pope and young? Is their official score even official?

Tbar - I can't speak for every entry, but as an official B&C and P&Y scorer I do score for folks who would like to put an entry into the Washington Record Book.  When he (David) used to attend the Big Horn Show, the guys working with him were official scorers.

I'm curious if the seal they put on the sheet is respected as "official". Is David on the forum here?

It’s a Washington state record book. It’s not a Boone and Crockett or SCI record book.  They’re official scores for the WA book, which seems like all it needs to be official for since its not related to any of the others.

What would or could it be respected as official for? Other than the WA book?
Is it even a Washington book? I thought it was a NW record book.

Its often considered the Washington state book because its what we have.  Official Wa state score sheets are good for the WA book ONLY.  Pope and Young and Boone score sheets are acceptable for the Wa book.  Ive entered about half of my stuff.  I kinda got to the point it was costing me a buttload.   I havent enetered any of my sheds which include the state record for.  I had to have it measured by three scorers and reviewed by a panel to get it in the National book.

Some of the scorers for the Washington state book are official scorers for P&Y and B&C. It all depends on who scores it whether it will be accepted in the other books.

Nothing passive aggressive about my question. I'm truly/literally/honestly curious what the seal you mentioned would be officially related to if it were official.

With that said, I feel like you know the answers to all of the questions you asked in your first post and just asked them in an attempt to belittle or otherwise insult the book and/or the contents of the book somehow.

3 posts in the same thread that you don't care about seems like a lot. You sure you don't care?

Maybe give me a call and I'll read my posts aloud to you because there seems to be quite a bit lost in translation.

It’s not a perfect book but I enjoy seeing some really good animals this state produces.  Just wish they would mix up the pics more for each edition.
