Have a bow that keeps shaking screws loose.
Is there any reason not to put a tiny bit of blue loctite on the treads? Or maybe clear nail polish might be safer/better?
I have used blue loctite on scope rings and bases on some pretty heavy recoiled rifles and never had a screw loosen. Thought it was likely a good idea, but thought I'd ask here first to avoid making a stupid mistake in the event that there is an issue I'd not thought of.
Thanks in advance for replies.

You're kidding, right (no offense)? Most archery companies recommend a dab of blue locktite on any and all screws that aren't likely to require loosening on a regular basis. Heck my new PSE camset came with blue locktite already applied to the module screw threads! Good Luck!

I use string wax, never had a screw back out or be stuck when I needed to remove it. You should definitely use something, a bow has a lot of vibration running through it whether you feel it or not.

Blue loctite for me on everything! My partner and I were doing some atv riding last year with our bows and he had several screws loosen up on him...I did not.
