Holy Crap why didn't they just pour purple paint all over the map would have been easier.

Washington will look like that before too long, but I doubt that we will be able to hunt them >:(

I have seen that from past years. And there are people that still think that they aren't recovered  :dunno: :bdid: Hopefully the USFW will actually fight and win in court this time to continue with the delisting and hunting season.

Yep, that is the reason I saw so few deer & elk in my 20 days around the Avery area.

Each circle is ~20 miles...that's a lot of country.  There are quite a few wolves down near Avery, but still plenty of elk.  My friends group went 9 for 11 with bows...the wolves haven't killed all the elk like some would lead you to believe.

9 for 11 is very impressive for the folks I have talked to this last year.
I typically pass on several bucks each year in that region, and the biggest buck I saw was 1.5 year old forked horn white tail.  I saw a raghorn bull that I didn't get a shot at.  And I saw a small bear.  After elk season ended, I saw another raghorn bull, but i didn't see near the volume of elk i have seen in the past.

Probably could do that well in Avery, most of the hunters moved north to the Courds to get away.  It was probably kind of peaceful down there if you didn't mind all the howling at night.

I ran into some folks from down that way who had left after 20+ years due to wolves and the winter kill.  They were up north as well.
