Elk at Dosewallips State Park
« on: August 21, 2018, 05:24:20 PM »
There were about 50 elk taunting me at the state park.  Didn't have my rifle on me.  I snapped these photos on my trac phone. Sorry for the poor quality.  Anyone ever hunt there???

One, it isn't rifle elk season until November. Two, that is a state park and hunting in it is illegal. Three, that is GMU 621 where you can only hunt elk with a special permit. You are either trolling or need to spend some serious time with the hunting regs.

 :yeah:

And I am pretty sure that area is in a no discharge or other firearm restriction.

Sorry, I didn't mean in the park.  I meant around that area.  Everyone knows you can't hunt in the park, even the elk.  They were so smug.

I've seen that herd before.  Talking like crazy.

Unfortunately somebody is killing them. Shot 1 on the edge of the school playground awhile back and another just up the river from there a couple weeks ago. Pretty disgusting! :bash:

I have a place up that way. Get woke up regularly by bugling, chirping, and mewing. They seem to like some of the wifes plants! :chuckle:
