2018/2019 Fur Season
« on: August 22, 2018, 10:43:48 AM »
Only eight more weeks until the fur season begins. The coyote market is still looking good and I will be running routes all over Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon buying whole coyotes again this year.

Welcome to the site and thanks for becoming a sponsor.

How much do you estimate whole coyotes to be selling for this year?

Thanks!

The coyote market is still doing well and I expect whole coyotes to average $20 again this year.

Any tips for care/storage of them until you're able to pick them up?
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Coyotes, fox, bobcats and all other furbearer freeze whole just fine. Many of my customers go together with hunting buddies and get a used deep freeze just for coyotes. This is the prefered method. Laying them on their backs in the freezer is the best way to stack them.

Field care is important as well. Use a reasonable caliber and if you have no choice but to drag, drag them from the mouth or with the hair and not against. Be very careful in freezing temperatures not to throw them on cold metal. This will result in guard hairs pulled out.

I schedule my routes around the customers needs. When i get the "freezer is full" phone call, i schedule the route and post it for everyone else.

I am a licensed fur buyer in Washington, Oregon & Missouri. I buy all legal fur whether its "trapper-dry", whole carcass or green fur (skinned but not fleshed and boarded).

I retail tanned fur, made-to-order fur garments, predator calls and wicked hunting lights.

One of the more popular services I provide is skinning, preparing and having a customers animal tanned for a wall hanger.

I would be happy to make an offer on it. I'll be in Puyallap next month, maybe we can meet? Otherwise I will be over there a few times this winter & spring.

Coyotes are looking good and I'm starting the season a few days early. It is officially coyote (fur) season. Good luck & happy hunting!

Without seeing the fur I will not bracket them by price. The market is strong on coyote and all of my customers averaged $20 on whole coyotes last year and will again this year.

Doug is a great guy who is honest. He has been a friend of the Washington Predator Hunting Association for a while now and have only had honest great dealings with him. If you want to make a few bucks this year with your fur Hicks Creek is the place!
"One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted..If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job." Where abouts in MO are you from, or do you just buy furs there?
