Newbie to Spokane WA hunting
« on: August 22, 2018, 09:07:13 PM »
Would really like to know hunting spots or places that are legal to hunt in the area, I missed the big game drawings for this year because I am unfamiliar with the area but am hoping to hunt waterfowl, anything helps
James

Youre definitely living in the best part of the state for hunting imo, head north for great whitetail and big game and south for birds.  Not to mention you are close to Idaho and Montana.

You'll like the longer season in the Pacific Flyway plus the warmer temps.  Welcome to the Inland Northwest!

buy your non res Idaho waterfowl license. Worth the money. Hunt the rivers, or look for a map showing hunt-able areas.
Is it waterfowl season yet..............

Lots of private close to Spokane, coming from the oil patch you probably have skills to get you on lots of ground.  A CDL would be an example.  Enjoy the climate.

The pend orielle (sp?) north of you can be good. North Idaho has stuff too. For the most access head to Grant county which is a little under two hours away. Not a lot of great hunting writhing 30 minutes of your place but drive 2 hours any direction and a lot of opportunity. And learn to turkey hunt. Turkey hunting that area is awesome. Hint there and pay for Idaho tags too. I have shot a lot of turkeys on video in Idaho.
