I hate unresolved forum questions so I'm here to fix that.  I got the kitchenaid meat grinder and it works like a charm.  It pounds through sausages like a lady of the night on payday.  Thanks for all the pro tips.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
