How are the bears up there? Can you outrun your partner?  :chuckle:

After I shoot him in the leg.....maybe.

 :nono:

Just found this thread... I'd advise that your strategy doesn't fall into the "good etiquette" category...

It is going to be a blast.

Lots of hunting, fishing, and mid-level shenanigans.

3boys, that picture looks like IslandView. I go up there once or twice a year. Great place.

Sure is. Love that place. This year I even invited a crusty commercial fisherman over for dinner.  :brew:

Awesome place. What’s your general mode of transport up there going to be? (I.e. boat, plane, or road system?)

I’ve always wanted to set up shop at one of the Forrest service cabins with a skiff for a week and get after it.

What does a trip up there cost? I'm sure you can go full guided for a big chunk of change, but what if you just go self guided with accomodations?

I’ve always wanted to set up shop at one of the Forrest service cabins with a skiff for a week and get after it.

We're going to base off of my 47' mobile cabin and beach hunt with the skiff.  While we're on shore making meat, I'll have my subsistence halibut set and/or 10 pot prawn string soaking.  Or our black cod set, or... And after we  get back to town, we'll be cutting, processing and flash freezing the bounty for at least 24 straight hours.

Poor H20.  He thinks he's coming up for a vacation... I'll guarantee he's going to need a vacation after I'm done with him  :chuckle:

Yup. Time to man up and put in the work. Just got back from a quick trip to the range. No adjustments needed, gun is spot on. I'll be shooting a Kimber Montana with break, 25 06, 115 Bergers loaded to just about max charge.  Got nice glass, my extra tuff boots and my fancy pants kuiu chugach rain gear. Worst case is I'll be looking good!

That sounds like a lot of work but for us guys that don't have to do it everyday it sounds like a blast too! The best vacations require a vacation to recover anyway. I'm jealous of you guys have fun!
