If you had an OIL tag
« on: August 25, 2018, 09:20:50 PM »
If you had an oil tag, let's say hypothetically a goat tag  :chuckle: , who is the best Taxidermist in Washington for half mounts or begger?
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Never pulled an OIL but have seen goats done by Fidalgo taxidermy and they were top notch. I’ve had them do 2 mulies and 1 blacktail with no regrets. So hypothetically I would recommend them!!!  👍🏻

I have a mount from Fidalgo and it's great.

Fidalgo decorated my house with a California sheep, Alaska caribou, Washington roosevelt elk and mountain lion. Gonna take a couple of blacktail racks in for shoulder mounts soon. Absolutely no regrets.

Where is fidalgo taxidermy?  My son has a goat tag and would be curious to know the cost.

I've been pondering this same question for my moose tag.  I just hope I get something big enough to take to a taxidermist. :chuckle:

My billy is with Rick at Cedar River Taxidermy.  It came down to Rick and Nature’s Way. I went with Rick due to recommendations from a good friend. Also looked at a few of his goat mounts, which I really liked the look of. They’re both forum supporters also, which also played a part in my decision.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I also use Cedar River. Rick is a great guy and very talented. I’ve never used fidalgo or nature’s way but have heard good things about both of them. You have options.
