Fall Turkey
« on: August 28, 2018, 02:54:53 PM »
A lot of talk of grouse and big game, havent seen anything for the poor old turkeys.

Anyone headed out for the fall Turkey opener this weekend? I'll get after them then try and find some dove, but I think the cold weather that always come through pushed them out again.
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'll try and be out for all 3 days this weekend chasing birds. 4 tags to fill.

9/1 - 12/31  Units 101-154 and 162-186.  Seaonal limit is 4  Two beardless and 2 either sex.  Whackm and stackm before they can jack the price of tags any more

I was out there this past weekend. I saw plenty of turkey sign but could not find a single turkey. Still a good experience though. I'll definitely try again this season.

Marinated in soy sauce and Brown sugar smoked for an hour and a 1/2, cooked it at 375 until internal temp was 165. Very juicy.

PA BEN - for how long did you marinate it? And, did you smoke it for 1.5 and then cook it in oven at 375? (Or, was it all in the smoker.) If you transferred to the oven, what temp did you set on your smoker?
