Got my first deer today

Beautiful and congrats! You've gotta be thrilled with that!

Very thrilled that he stood up and broke a twig while I had a bedded spike in my scope at 20 yards.

Congats to all! It seems like a lot of nice blacktail being taken this year.

Agreed, fantastic buck!

That is a gorgeous buck.  That is the color of BT racks that I love.  Someday.....      Congrats buddy!

Saw a buck rutting 6 doe yesterday in Teanaway so threw up my bino's...it was a big superfork (2point) :bash:

Good luck to everyone starting their late hunts tomorrow, looks like the rut has begun.

Same goes with the doe herds around my place. All the twos are trailing them and hanging close already.

My buck in southern Idaho was definitely rutted up and chasing does, saw another buck right in the same area with another group of does doing some serious rutting action, lip curl then chase a doe with his nose right up her tail. Good luck on the late muley hunts guys

My older brother's blacktail. I need help thinking of a nickname for him. He's killed two deer in his two years of hunting them. A total of 4-10 hours in the field...

I quit hunting with a rifle 15 years ago and took up bow hunting. I never actually killed anything with a rifle but have been pretty successful with my bow taking multiple bucks, bulls and a moose. This is my first rifle kill at the age of 44. I shot him at 20 yards. I could have used my bow.  :IBCOOL:

Nice buck
Most the deer I've shot I could have used a bow. The one I got this year was 40yards max.

I usually don't post pics on here anymore but this one was special.  My Dad Passed away last month and I was bound and determined to get a decent buck in his memory.  He was watching over me today.  I worked my butt off for this one. The old .250 Savage dropped him in his tracks. Love the eye guards and trash.
congradulations! And thank you for sharing!
