Wolves in the Naneum
« on: September 02, 2018, 11:31:42 AM »
Was coming down from checking my cams in the Naneum yesterday and had two cross the road in front of me. Jumped out and got within 20yds of one.  Anybody else ever see any up there?

I’ve seen them a few times up there. Couple years ago Wednesday night before modern deer opener saw a big black  one near the old line shack on naneum ridge road below the BPA mainline, sucker was about 20ft from a cow/calf pair when our headlights hit it, SOB ran outta there faster than hell back into the timber headed north.

It sucks but it was first time I have seen one and it was definitely a wolf.

A big thank you to conservation northwest for the uncontrolled introduction of wolves into Washington

Say good bye to your hunting seasons here in Washington and Oregon

I almost counted coo on one in first creek.   I got within about 10 yards of her.
I saw a big pack of them in there years ago, before we didn’t have wolves, even though at least one of them had a collar on. Lol.
