It's hard time get worked up over this kind of news, as it's simply going to happen on a regular basis. Wolves have to eat, and they eat whatever they can kill. The only real solution is to get rid of the cattle, or get rid of the wolves. Seems that people 100 years ago did what needed to be done. I hate seeing all the money being wasted on this issue when ranchers would probably take care of the problem at no cost to taxpayers if the state and federal government would stay out of it.
I would expect to see new legislation from Joel and the rest of our NE legislators. The problem is getting help from the rest of the state's legislators!
"The finding "middle ground" is just more BS from WDFW and fake environmental groups." Their hands and brains are tied!!!

Yesterdays Spokesman articlehttp://www.khq.com/story/39062232/state-says-wolves-attacked-5-calves-in-ferry-countySPOKANE, Wash. - The state of Washington says wolves attacked at least five calves in Ferry County last week, killing one and injuring four. The attacks occurred Wednesday through Friday in an area once occupied by the Profanity Peak wolf pack, which was wiped out last year. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says it is studying the latest attacks and weighing non-lethal ways to prevent future wolf attacks. Agency director Kelly Susewind says the situation is evolving quickly. The state estimates the pack has three or four adults and two or three pups. Wolves were wiped out in Washington early in the last century, but returned to the state early this century from neighboring areas. Most of the wolves are located in northeastern Washington, where there have been conflicts with ranchers.Perhaps it should have said Wiped at
It's not even the time of year when they are burning calories yet.

Where is CNW and their famous range riders? Or their call for culling the pack? My guess is WDFW and CNW are waiting for another lawsuit from their partners to stop any control before coming out in favor of culling wolves.Every time I see this I hate it, not sure which I hate the most, the dirty wolves or the dirty bunch that are responsible for uncontrolled wolves in WA.
