Unfortunately the wolf issue in this state falls under that "if you're for it, I'm against it" blanket that has our country so divided these days. I'm frequently asked by friends who know I have a home on the eastside what I think about the wolf issue. Most are sympatic and admit they really don't have a strong opinion about it, but, depending on their politics, they are automatically for or against more aggressive action. It's sad that we've allowed a vocal, name calling minority on both sides take over these types of issues. I don't know how we get the majority of the westside voters to understand the problem, but I know the name calling and bone headed conspiracy theories only drive the wedge deeper. No easy answers, but a little more listening and less name calling might be a start

:bash:

Ranchers etc. with wolf problems need to get the wolf recipes going, WDFW/CNW etc. created the predation problem with their promotion and protection of wolves, and then knowing what other states had gone through, gave WA the worst wolf plan of any state to date. At the first sign of wolves ranchers need to implement their own wolf control methods. :twocents:

Washington will not get any wolf control except what comes from the public.

The finding "middle ground" is just more BS from WDFW and fake environmental groups.

Middle ground for starters would be open season on wolves, 16 years worth of lies from WDFW etc..

Yesterdays Spokesman article

http://www.khq.com/story/39062232/state-says-wolves-attacked-5-calves-in-ferry-county

SPOKANE, Wash. -
The state of Washington says wolves attacked at least five calves in Ferry County last week, killing one and injuring four.

The attacks occurred Wednesday through Friday in an area once occupied by the Profanity Peak wolf pack, which was wiped out last year.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says it is studying the latest attacks and weighing non-lethal ways to prevent future wolf attacks.

Agency director Kelly Susewind says the situation is evolving quickly. The state estimates the pack has three or four adults and two or three pups.

Wolves were wiped out in Washington early in the last century, but returned to the state early this century from neighboring areas. Most of the wolves are located in northeastern Washington, where there have been conflicts with ranchers.

Sad day when CNW, the antis, control your right to protect yourself and your animals. You can see that they do not care about anything. except living off of your taxpayers dime........
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Thanks for Posting the Pictures, Dale..

"The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says it is studying the latest attacks and weighing non-lethal ways to prevent future wolf attacks."

The rancher can expect more of his cattle going to wolves as WDFW screw around some more, non-lethal methods have never worked.

Where is CNW and their famous range riders? Or their call for culling the pack? My guess is WDFW and CNW are waiting for another lawsuit from their partners to stop any control before coming out in favor of culling wolves.

Every time I see this I hate it, not sure which I hate the most, the dirty wolves or the dirty bunch that are responsible for uncontrolled wolves in WA. :bash: :bash: :bash:

Washington wolf management is insanity at the highest level, what sort of idiot can possibly think that wolves that attacked 5 cattle in such short order will suddenly forever quit attacking cattle?

:bash:

@DOUBLELUNG
THIS IS A SPECIFIC CASE IN POINT WHY WDFW MANAGEMENT IS VIEWED SO POORLY!

Pup training time, and cows etc. are easy prey for pups to practice on..
