I've heard far more this year than all the previous years combined where I live.
Far more on game cams than I've ever seen before too.
Neighbors keep talking about seeing them in their yards too.
Dirt naps need to start happening. If work didn't get in the way......

Girlfriend lives on land down in Chehalis......every morning at like 430 you hear them yip and howl on the neighbors property.

We saw 23 in two days over labor day where we deer hunt.  More then I've ever seen!
