Leupold warranty and customer service!
« on: September 07, 2018, 11:21:30 AM »
In June I attempted to use my Leupold Bx-2 Acadia 8x42 binoculars at a machine gun range, when I put them to my eyes and adjusted to fit and start focusing the hinge snapped in half, awe man! I purchased these binoculars when my Nikon Monarch 12x42 broke..fast forward to last week. Each pair was shipped to the respective manufacturers. Yesterday a box showed up from Leupold, a brand new pair of the new bx2 Acadias they are nice looking!!! I’m stoked!! I bought some vortex diamondbacks 12x42’s last month so now the Mrs will have a pair and I’ll still have a pair because Nikon is fixing the monarchs at no charge too!!

I almost exclusively use Leupold optics and have always had great experience with their customer service. Even when I lost a windage cover and couldn’t find replacements in the market I called them to try and buy one but they sent me 2 free of charge.

Good to hear, I've been exclusive to leupold for several years and have always felt I got a top notch product at the price point.

Great customer service and they cover Redfield also.  Lost my Redfield bino covers and they sent me new, no questions asked.

Glad to hear good results with leupold. I have an old leupold lps which is a great scope but having issues holding zero. It needs to go back for repair or replacement.

I'd like to give a shout out to Leupold for their customer service! In September I somehow managed to break the eyepiece on my BX-3 Mojave 10x50's while on a scouting trip. I sent them in with a note requesting repair. 6 weeks later a brand new pair of BX-4 Pro Guide HD 10x50's showed up on my doorstep. Way above and beyond what I was expecting! They had also sent me some dial covers for a VX-2 a couple years ago after I oeft mine on a shooting bench. I'll always support this company!

I was looking to pick up a Leupold scope in the near future. I'm a little concerned by the amount of guys on here who have had trouble with their Leupold stuff though. Having a great warranty is good but not having to use it is better.

There are lots of Leupold product owners who never have a problem and probably don't post about it. :twocents:

My family’s been running Leuopold (mostly vari-x 3) some newer/fancier for the past 30 + years most of them are at least 25 years old on several rifles including.338 win mags. They are good scopes, never have had to send one in for service. I haven’t even adjusted mine for at least 15 years because I don’t need to

I have lots of leuopold scopes and have never had any issues. I did buy my wife a set of diamond backs after looking at buying a set of leuopold bino’s because I felt they were clearer than the leuopold bino’s. Not sure if the leuopold scopes are still the best way to go for the money compared to the vortex products and their warranty seams to be the best on the market.

1 thing you have to remember is that Leupold has probably sold hundreds of millions of scopes. While Vortex etc. has probably sold a few million. Odds are with a exponentially higher amount of product out there your bund to get a few more problems. Ive seen plenty of Vortex complaints on here too. I like Leupold and stick with them as I have never had a failure. But Vortex is a good option too.

When Leupold first came out with the VXIII 4.5X15 I sent it to the factory to have heavy duplex's put in it.  I got it back in a week free of charge.  Sent a rangefinder to them that wasn't ranging correctly.  All it cost me was shipping.  Great customer service!

I had a set of 8x42 Windriver Cascades that were the first set of binos I ever bought that cost more than a couple hundred bucks. Over the years one eye cup got abused by my children (clearly not a manufacturer issue) and I tried to modify it so it would just stay in a fixed position. I called customer service and asked if they would take a look and try and fix them even though I tried to modify them? A few days after I sent them in they called and asked if I would I like a new set of BX2s or credit toward better set? I picked up the BX3 10x42 for $100.
