I have a small pile, hope to do something with them some day.  My biggest bull had the most beautiful ones out of all of them.

Furee65, great bull and great rifle!  Is that a classic M99? Brass rotary magazine and counter? What year and caliber? My hunting mentor had a M99 in 250 savage.

hunterofelk you are correct.  I used a Savage 99 from the 1970's in .358 Winchester with a brass counter.  It worked really well for me and I ended up using factory Hornady 200 grain Interlocks at around 200 yards. One shot and he went about 10-15 yards after the shot and was dead as a door nail by the time I made it over to him.

Finally getting around to posting picks from my archery elk hunt.  First bulls for my buddy and I.  Got them both same day, 6 miles apart.  Then the work started.  Great day with son and son-in-law. [/img]

Had quality bull elk, archery in unit outside Ellensburg.   Had a group of 5 and we managed to score two.
