I believe vail is far better for deer.  I've hunted aberdeen and there really aren't many deer there.

I've never hunted there, but I believe Vail has the highest harvest numbers.   It seemed that members weren't that happy with the unit last year.  Use the search function to review past forum posts for more accurate information.

There are plenty of deer near Aberdeen but Blacktails are just a pain to get in this thick stuff. I have seen a few already this season and lots of sign as well. To bad I didn't get a deer tag for bow season...

Both of those are sold out aren't they. Otherwise, I get my happy a$$ out there.

been hunting Gray's harbor my whole life....deer are plentiful in alot of areas just have to find the areas that hold them, scout scout scout..usually if there's lots of elk in the area avoid it for deer...I'm pretty consistently seeing 15-25 deer daily and on average 15+ bucks a season....mostly spikes and forkys but a few 3pt and better. I know my area and have been out here for 20+ years and know what to look for. I spend slot of time out here. The deer like seclusion, find the cuts with no roads around them. They tend not to like trucks driving through their feeding areas more specifically the bucks dont
