Got a request for help from the folks with Washingtonians for Wildlife Conservation
http://w4wc.org/index.html
Hey Wetsiders!
2 weeks before the gun and the volunteers slots for the WWC booth at the Washington State Fair have never been this empty.
It's easy stuff, the signage in the booth says it all. From there...
From simply being a "pretty face" to keep things tidy to talking to the public, it's all good. And, beggars can't be choosers.
I will always be available to help and guide.
None of the week-coordinators want to work every single day they are responsible for. Nor do may want to work every day alone.
Please consider talking a shift and recruiting for empty spots. There is room for two in the booth - Free Fair entry passes + a parking pass!
The schedule is here:
http://w4wc.org/wa-state-fair-schedule.html
Regards,
Jeff Chistensen

Use the link posted in Jeff's message or you can reach out to wa.hunter here on the forum if you're able to help these guys out. It's a great organization that works hard for the future of hunting in Washington.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

This is a good organization, I sure hope a few hunters can help out, it's important to support the org's that get things done.

It is an organization of both individuals and sportsmens organizations. Washington State Trappers association, Washington Waterfowlers Association, Washington State Archery Association are members. Additionally local chapters of SCI and MDF are members. There are likely others I'm unaware of. From what I've been able to gather it is a localized version of the Sportsmans Alliance.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Thanks Josh for posting.
This is a great event at getting our message out to the non-hunters at a state fair. We have a large booth in the conservation building at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup . Booth will have literature to hand out and a few animal mounts and furs and and skulls for all the kids to handle. The fair has gotten longer with more days to cover and unfortunately many of our past volunteers have passed on to another life. It is actually a lot of fun to meet with those that attend and all the kids. Free entry for those that volunteer.
