Great looking gun man, my buddy has one. There great shooters HEAVY, nine pounds out the box without the scope I think but nice shooting.

Nice...!!!
Depending on how you want to shoot it and what loads you work up you may find that the 12x is fine. It may be a lil' low for really long range busting. Out to 5 or 6 it'll be fine. Dollar for dollar the 4-16 4200 Elite is a great value and proven to take a pounding. From there you really go up in price. If seen quite a few Zeiss and higher end Leu's on some of the long range wildcats too.

Put some glass thats worthy of an Accumark on it...... Nightforce NXS! I think the last time I saw a box of 30-378 ammo it was wearing a price tag of $100 for twenty rounds. Hope you like reloading!

you should get the scope that Tat bought. that would fit the long range.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

not too sure why anybody would need a 32x scope on a hunting rifle. what happens if you have a 30 yard shot with 8x being your lowest magnification power...you won't be able to see a target.

The other end of that spectrum is true too... when you torch off 100+ grains of powder and a 200 grain bullet... seeing what happens in the glass becomes a chore, especially without a break. I found the 14x is about the maximum power that I can use on my .300 RUM... and still be able so see what happens after I hit the switch.

A quality built and gunsmith installed muzzle-brake can help tame some of that recoil. Makes em loud as hell though!

Even with my DE break (the best around... and not too loud), and a gun that weighs in excess of 10lbs... I can't spot hits on 18x... 14x is a little sketchy... but 10x-12x is about perfect. Magnification is a double edged sword... and that sword gets sharper as you increase in caliber.

Knew a guy quite a few years back (when the 30-378 first came out at $1400 in the Accumark). He literally put a $100 Tasco on it and called it good. Why on earth he would do that, I don't know. Then went on a guided Texas hunt for whitetails and, surprise! His scope was off and he pretty much shaved the hide off the buck's back. Only person I knew who put a $100 scope on a $1400 rifle.

well i have my leupold vx-2 but i have been considering a monarch tactical, a zeiss conquest and a different leupold.....but all are about 700 bucks and right now i really dont have that so im thinking i might just stick with what i got and just put the 3x12-50mm VX2 on her.....and your right 120 bucks is what a box cost at sportsmans Whorehouse....thats cool though...i got dies, primers, powders, brass.....and a brand new reloader so now i am just planning a base line and looking for a scope...as soon as i get the scope i should be out breaking her in and sighting in my scope.....
I actually might go touch off a dozen or two rounds to start breaking in the barrel before i get my scope that way ill have it all done for when i get a different scope......
But well see...........might have to sell my self on the corner for sex to get a new scope.....and thats probably not going to happen........lol.
