Start off with saying it was am amazing hunt and I cant wait to do it again someday. We were on elk everyday chasing bugles. We had so close encounters just couldnt get it done. Saturday morning picked two buddies up and off we went. First couple locate bugles no answer then finally on are third try boom we got an answer and the chase was on. We work are way close and try and locate him one more time and nothing so we just continued pushing closer to the last location. As we near the location my buddy cow calls acouple time as we walk and suddenly the bull screams 80 yards above on a flat this is when all the panic came together..  We scramble trying to get setup as the bull bugles again the buddy cuts him off will a bugle and here he come on a string. The bull walked though my pocket I had to shoot thought as I panicked alittle I slowly started walking backwards at full draw... Finally catching the bull standing in a open pocket looking right in my buddies direction. I take a deep breathe settle the pin check the level and slowly squeezed on my release and off it went. Acouple quick cow call and a bugle we heard my first archery bull tip over and the excitement and the shakes set in. It was amazing walking up to him and a unforgettable moment. I cant thank all my friends and family enough that help me on this.

Heck of a bull right there.  I remember having that tag and shared some of the same feelings but never was able to close the distance on my own.  Great Job!
